Consignment Policies
*We
accept items on Monday and Tuesday
from 10-4pm.
We can take one bag per customer
If
we become inundated with items,
Sandbox
will place a temporary hold on accepting new consignment.
*We
accept baby, kids up to size 16 and maternity clothing, shoes and
accessories.
*We
also accept *toys, books, videos, *baby gear and *baby/children’s
furniture.
*Toys
and gear must be less than 3 years old and are clean and
have been checked for recalls. To assure these items will be
accepted, you can do a search on the Consumer Product Safety
Commission web site: http://www.cpsc.gov/.
We
do not take Cribs or Car Seats.
Items
brought in should be in excellent condition (no stains,
missing buttons, broken zippers, fading, piling, etc.) All clothing
must be freshly laundered (no smells such as smoke, musty,
mothballs) and free from pet hair.
*Clothing
should be laid out neatly in laundry basket,
plastic
tub or shopping style bag.
*Clothing
in garbage bags will not be accepted.
*We
will only accept 2 (two) shopping bags or
One
laundry basket of clothing per day per consignor.
*Please,
no more than 25 items per basket/bag.
Heavily
PACKED baskets/bags will not be accepted.
Your
items will be carefully selected for style, quality and appearance.
We will let you know which items will sell best. All other’s will
be returned to you or donated at your request.
You
will receive 40% of the final selling price that can be used
towards an in-store purchase of any kind. It is the
consignors responsibility to contact Sandbox about your account
Consigned
items are displayed for 60 days. Items may be discounted during the
consigned period; after that, it is the consignor’s responsibility
to pick them up if they choose. Items left over 60 days may be
donated to a local charity. After 90 days, clothing items become
property of the store. There is no expiration date on gear or
furniture.
Sandbox
is not liable for the loss of consigned items due to fire, theft,
natural disasters or any other unforeseen circumstance.
