The Safe Sippy™ stainless steel drink cup was created in response to the growing body of scientific evidence about the dangers of toxic chemicals used to make many plastics.

Stainless steel was chosen for the safe sippy cup because it is clean, stable, and durable. Because stainless steel is stable and inert, it does not interact with the foods and fluids it comes into contact with. So what you put in is what you get out.

with the safe sippy cup, contact between water and plastics is kept to a minimum, and all plastics are certified free of Bisphenol A, phthalates and DEHA. The Safe Sippy™ pays for extensive laboratory testing on their cups to make sure that they are free of these chemicals.

The cap for The Safe Sippy™ is made from polypropylene, or #5 plastic. This is the most stable of the plastics.

The Safe Sippy™ has many features that were carefully considered when the cup was designed. The most important issue of all was safety.

There is a no leak valve in the spout of The Safe Sippy™, which is made of clean, non-toxic silicone. When children suck on The Safe Sippy™ liquid flows and when they don't, it doesn't.
The spout of The Safe Sippy™ is straw shaped. Some research has found that a traditional wide drinking spout may cause physical and speech development problems in some children.
The lid of The Safe Sippy™ is designed to be slightly wider than the cup. If your child drops The Safe Sippy™, that lip will help protect the stainless steel bottle from denting.
The stainless steel body of The Safe Sippy™ is the most important element of the cup. Made of durable and lightweight medical grade stainless steel, the 11 oz bottle is non-leaching and toxin free.
Unlike plastic sippies, it's ok to put The Safe Sippy™ in the dishwasher.
The handles were designed to help little hands hang onto the cup. Once your child is big enough to grip the bottle at the tapered waist, the handles are removable.
The tapered waist and the ribbing on the sleeve both help little hands hold onto the cup once they insist that they are too big for the handles.
The rubbery sleeve surrounding the bottle is made of thermo plasticized rubber, or TPR. The TPR materials provides insulation for cold beverages on hot days, and it also acts as a cushion to protect the stainless steel.

Pacifiers Recalled by OKK Trading Due to Choking Hazard

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.
Name of product: Baby Necessities pacifiers

Units: About 2,900

Importer: OKK Trading, of Los Angeles, Calif.

Hazard: The pacifiers are banned under federal law. They failed federal safety tests when the nipples separated from the base. This poses a choking hazard to young children.

Incidents/Injuries: None reported.

Description: This recall involves Baby Necessities pacifiers with a blue heart-shaped mouth guard. The pacifiers were sold four to a pack. The words “Baby Necessities” is printed on the cardboard packaging.

Sold at: Dollar and discount stores nationwide from August 2007 through January 2009 for about $1.

Manufactured in: China

Remedy: Consumers should immediately take the recalled pacifier away from children and contact OKK Trading for a refund or exchange.
